LIVONIA, Mich. – Canton city officials announced they have a limited number of vaccination appointments available March 10-12. DETROIT – Police are looking for three men wanted in connection to a Jan. 28 armed robbery on Detroit’s west side. DETROIT – Police are looking for a teenager who is accused of pointing a gun at a woman while driving in Detroit, then fleeing police and abandoning his vehicle with children inside on Friday night. Detroit police say at about 11 p.m. on Jan. 15, an officer pulled alongside a woman driving west on Seven Mile Road near Hayes Street at a high rate of speed. The police officer attempted to pull over the teen driving the Mitsubishi, but the teen turned around and fled east on Seven Mile Road, striking the officer’s vehicle on the passenger side in the process. Officials say other officers in the area saw and pursued the suspect to the 5700 block of Farmbrook Street, where the teen abandoned his vehicle and continued fleeing on foot. Police say the suspect left behind two small children inside the vehicle he abandoned.

DETROIT – Police are investigating a road rage incident on Detroit’s east side Friday that put a 50-year-old man in the hospital with critical injuries. Police said an argument between a 50-year-old man and a 31-year-old man escalated into gunfire being exchanged between the two. INKSTER, Mich. – A dangerous chain of events played out Sunday across several cities in Wayne County. Officers from several police departments, including Michigan State Police, are involved in the investigation. The Dodge escaped westbound on Michigan Avenue, where they were pursued by Wayne police officers. Police said Wayne officers were shot at during the pursuit, which was taken over by Michigan State Police once the suspects reached I-94. Police are looking for suspected gunmen who reportedly tried to run Inkster police officers over before a pursuit across Wayne County on Dec. 27, 2020.

DETROIT – Police said a 33-year-old man was killed Wednesday night after he and a 41-year-old woman were shot at a Detroit gas station. There was a heavy police presence along Woodward Avenue from Seven Mile to Eight Mile roads. Vernal Newson said the couple was meeting a man at a BP gas station at the corner of West Seven Mile Road and Woodward Avenue. DETROIT – A man lept from an overpass onto the Lodge Freeway on Detroit’s west side Sunday to escape someone shooting at him. Police said the man was driving a gray Pontiac Torrent to get away from the Jeep, but his vehicle crashed near the southbound side of the freeway. The man lept onto the freeway and was still able to run after the drop down. DETROIT – Police are responding an allegedly armed man who has barricaded himself inside a home on Concord Street on Detroit’s east side, near Seven Mile Road. Authorities said the 42-year-old man inside the home is having a mental health episode. When police arrived at the home, they said the man was armed and threatened himself and his girlfriend inside the home. “He produced a handgun and made threatening motions towards his girlfriend, who is in the residence,” said Detroit Police Commander Darin Szilagyi. Members of the Detroit Special Response and Crisis Negotiation teams are on the scene trying to resolve the situation peaceful.

Two Detroit officers were injured in a collision Friday night at the intersection of Seven Mile Road and Hoover Street. Three police vehicles were heading south on Hoover on an emergency run. As they got to the intersection, an SUV was trying to make the light on 7 Mile Road when the vehicles collided. DETROIT – A father was sentenced Friday to a year in jail and three years of probation in connection with a police chase with his 4-month-old baby in the car. Brandon Walker, 26, pleaded guilty to child abuse after he took his daughter from his girlfriend in April and took off. Shortly after the chase was called off, the mother was able to get the baby from the vehicle in the area of Seven Mile Road and Oakfield Avenue. DETROIT – A 27-year-old man was shot Wednesday night by men who broke into his mother’s home on Detroit’s east side. Officials say the victim went to check in on his unwell mother at her home in the 14900 block of Lappin Street near Hayes Street and Seven Mile Road. Upon entering the house, the victim discovered that his mother was not home -- rather two intruders were inside and armed. The 27-year-old man was able to drive himself to the hospital where he is currently in surgery. The mother, who was out shopping at the time, later arrived at the home after the incident and was not harmed.

DETROIT – Police are investigating a shooting that occurred just after 7 p.m. Sunday on Detroit’s east side. According to authorities, a 19-year-old man said he and a friend were in a physical altercation with multiple men in the 18600 block of Morang Drive, just south of Seven Mile Road, when an unknown person shot him. According to authorities, Jackson was last seen Sept. 30 at about 11 p.m. in the 19100 block of Margareta Street, just south of Seven Mile Road. Jackson is 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs about 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a grey top and black shorts. DETROIT – A 23-year-old man was found injured on the sidewalk on Detroit’s west side early Saturday morning. Detroit police say at about 4:50 a.m. the victim was found in the 24200 block of West Seven Mile Road suffering from a gunshot wound to the body. Witnesses reported hearing shots fired and seeing a vehicle flee from the scene, according to authorities. The 23-year-old man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. DETROIT – Police are searching for Dasjanae Hagwood, a 14-year-old girl was last seen Tuesday in the 19000 block of Houghton Street, just north of Seven Mile Road. Hagwood is 4 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. DETROIT – Michigan State Police said a Detroit man wanted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in July was officially charged and arraigned for the incident. Valerian Kobaidze, 32, was arraigned Thursday on charges of operating while intoxicated causing death, fail to stop at accident when in fault resulting in death and reckless driving causing death. The incident happened on July 14 on Interstate 75 southbound near Seven Mile Road. While the case being reviewed, Kobaidze left the state of Michigan and went to New York. State troopers assigned to the Second District Fugitive Team picked Kobaidze up from the New York City Sheriff’s Office Wednesday and brought back to Michigan.

DETROIT – School officials said students helped put together the area, but now all of their hard work is destroyed. It happened at Greenfield Union Elementary-Middle School on West Seven Mile Road, near Woodward Avenue. That’s what Clark, the Dean of Culture at Greenfield Union Elementary-Middle School, saw when he came to work Thursday morning. At first he thought it rained the night before, and that caused the damage, but that wasn’t the case. Especially to a place where not only kids play, but a garden where they took pride in designing and building, that they can enjoy while at school.

DETROIT – Police are investigating after four men were shot Monday night at a park on Detroit’s east side. Then, one of the victims got into a vehicle crash on the way to the hospital. The car crashed in the area of East 7 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue. The victims were at a hospital as of Tuesday morning and expected to recover. DETROIT – Rhonda Morrison is an expert in the art of shoe repair. She’s been at House of Morrisons Shoe Repair, located on Livernois Avenue, near Seven Mile Road, for 37 years. She’s been around the trade longer than that if you count all the time she spent watching her father, a shoe-shiner turned cobbler who started House of Morrisons Shoe Repair in 1954. Morrison’s father made sure she understood all the tricks of the trade. She said she’s looking forward to starting some training and letting some other people have a shoe shop in town.

DETROIT – The well-known owner of a Detroit funeral home has been charged after allegedly fatally shooting his cousin during an argument on Monday. The 37-year-old owner, Major Clora, Jr., of Detroit, was charged Thursday with second-degree murder and felony firearm. Police say at about 10:35 a.m. Clora fired a single shot at his 53-year-old male cousin outside of the Clora Funeral Home on Seven Mile Road, killing him. Clora reportedly waited for police at the scene and was taken into custody. Clora is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.

DETROIT – The well-known owner of a Detroit funeral home is accused of shooting and killing his cousin during an argument at the funeral home, according to police. The shooting was reported around 11 a.m. Monday at the Clora Funeral Home on Seven Mile Road, officials said. “Going to be a shooting on East Seven Mile Road,” a dispatcher said over the police scanner.
