Good Thursday morning! We have had this trend of harmless high clouds streaking across the Michigan skies and that trend continues today. We have a mix of clear to partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the middle 40s to near 50 degrees for anyone heading out and about early for that walk to work or the simple walk to the car. These clouds are coming from bigger storms to our west, but they will produce no wet weather for us here in Metro Detroit both this morning and this afternoon.

It’s finally Friday! Happy weekend everyone! We are off to a solid start with some cloud cover coming and going keeping Metro Detroit temps slightly warmer as you hit the road or pound the pavement. Friday morning temperatures are in the middle 30s to near 40F closer to the Big D. We have no moisture leaking from these morning clouds making for a smooth morning commute with some beautiful colors in the skies as the sun rises through the high clouds. Daylight Saving Time ends next weekend or the first Sunday in November when we fall back one hour which means our sunrise will be back closer to 7am in about 10 days.

Good Wednesday morning! We have had a few more significant rain showers move through Metro Detroit overnight with a few areas possibly seeing snowflakes trying to stick to grassy areas. Most of us are only seeing liquid precipitation. Temperatures are in the upper 30s with gusty winds creating tough wind chills in the upper 20s to low 30s and the need for a hat and gloves if you have to be out in it. There will be a few showers as we approach sunrise, so the wet roadways will slow down your drive as you get going on a Wednesday with the umbrella by your side. There’s not much good news in these cool temps and blustery conditions, but we also expect fewer showers throughout the day today.

It is a trouble-free start to your Tuesday here in Metro Detroit which is to say it’s a good morning. Skies are mostly clear with temperatures in the low to middle 40s and a few of those usual suburbs will dip quickly into the upper 30s with a little patchy fog. Those spots are certainly the exception and not the rule. You will want that light jacket this morning, but you can also dress for a late summer kind of day today with the highest of our weekly highs on tap.

We have many suburbs flirting with freezing temperatures early this morning around Metro Detroit without any Frost Advisories. Good Tuesday morning! Obviously, we will see some patchy frost again this morning the farther away you are from Detroit. Areas within 20 to 30 miles of downtown will stay in the upper 30s to lower 40s under partly cloudy to mostly clear skies. It almost goes without saying that in addition to patchy frost, we will see some patchy fog in the usual spots, just a forewarning for anyone traveling north or heading west on I-94 or I-96 west of I-275.

After plenty of cloud cover and scattered showers throughout the day, along with cool temperatures, much of the same can be expected as we head into the hours tonight.

After a dry week with sunshine for almost everyone, we bring in rain showers & cooler temperatures.

We had to close a few windows early this Tuesday morning if you opened them as the cold front came through late yesterday. Temperatures here in Metro Detroit are in the middle and upper 50s outside your home under mostly clear skies and a lighter wind NW 5-10mph and with some of that patchy fog. Fog is unavoidable for parts of our area following a little bit of rain and a dip in morning temps. It will warm nicely throughout the day today with sun and a shift in the wind.

Watch out for that pesky patchy fog which has presented itself again reducing visibility in spots as you hit the road early on this final day of the work and school week. Good Finally Friday morning!  We are waking up with more of that pleasant and cooler air keeping temperatures in the middle 50s outside your door prior to sunrise under mostly clear skies. The one minor weather nuisance this morning is that patchy fog like we’ve seen the last couple of mornings so just watch out in those rural and hilly areas all around and take it easy. If you plan on being out all day, you may need a light jacket or sweatshirt this morning but you’ll be able to rock those shorts as we warm up today.

It is mostly dry early on this Monday and Happy Labor Day! A stationary front is wobbling around just south of Metro Detroit which will keep a chance for a few showers around this morning although Exact Track Radar is showing no significant signs of showers. It looks like our skies will stay mostly cloudy most of the day including heading out your door early with temperatures in the lower to middle 60s and some spotty drizzle.

The Autumnal Equinox is still three weeks away which means we are not officially done with summer yet. Good Wednesday morning! It’s another great start to the day after a very comfortable sleeping night if you had those windows open. We have temperatures in the middle and upper 50s for those of you 30 to 40 minutes outside of Detroit. The urban heat island closer to downtown shows temps in the lower 60s as you head out for that morning walk.
