There was a temporary break in the snow showers Friday afternoon across most of Metro Detroit. It is still snowing north of I-69, but this is expected to be a passing phase.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne Counties from now until 8:00 p.m.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for Detroit and Southeast Michigan from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 5).

Saturday night will be cloudy and cold, with a widely scattered wintry mix turning to widely scattered snow showers.

It remains cold Saturday afternoon, but much of Friday and Saturday morning snow diminishes. It remains subfreezing all day, but afternoon temperatures will be in the middle 20s. The areas of snow over southeast Michigan continue to get smaller, and the temperature continues to plummet Friday night. Gray skies return but temps are higher Sunday before more snow returns. Overnight lows will be near 10 degree Fahrenheit with windchill’s in the single digits to near below zero at times. It remains subfreezing most of the day, but afternoon temperatures will be near 30 degrees. Snow returns Sunday night and Monday morning.
