According to authorities, the road reopened at about 8:30 p.m. after the collision had been cleared.

MONROE, Mich. – A 47-year-old woman from Hudson was arrested Friday in connection with the death of Monroe County Animal Control officer Darrian Young. Michele Anne Dropulich was arraigned Saturday on charges of second degree murder and operating while intoxicated causing death and reckless driving causing death. Police believe Dropulich was speeding when she ran a red light at the intersection of Raisinville and South Custer roads on June 4, striking Young’s vehicle, killing her. Police said lab results revealed Dropulich was intoxicated at the time of the collision. Dropulich is being held at the Monroe County Jail.

DETROIT – A tragedy involved an 8-year-old girl, who was walking on the sidewalk with her mother when a car hit and killed her. Owens is replaying the horrific details of a crash that killed 8-year-old Lauren Johnson Sunday afternoon at about 3:40 p.m. on Conner Street. “She (the driver) was coming from the corner, she almost hit my niece at the corner, came flying. “People fly up and down this street with no regards to life,” said Denice Hinson, who also witnessed the incident. You took an 8-year-old life and nobody can bring that baby back.

ROSEVILLE, Mich. A 2-year-old child has died while in the care of a babysitter following an unreported accident that occurred on Sunday, police say. Officials say the child, their siblings and their babysitter were involved in a traffic incident over the weekend somewhere in Warren. The childs cause of death is currently unknown at this time. Roseville police say it is currently unclear if the unreported traffic crash contributed to the childs death. We will be seeking the highest appropriate charges if any in this tragic loss of a child, the Roseville Police Department said in a press release.

MONROE, Mich. Officer Darrian Young was honored Saturday with a horse-drawn carriage procession on South Dixie Highway to Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. Police are still looking for the driver who struck Youngs vehicle June 4. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. The vehicle is described as a black 2014 Dodge Caravan with no license plate. At some point before the crash, the Dodge Caravan was damaged from the front end.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A person riding a motorcycle was killed after colliding with a vehicle in Shelby Township on Monday night. Shelby Township police say that around 10:51 p.m. the 37-year-old from Roseville was traveling northbound on Schoenherr Road on a 2012 Yamaha motorcycle when they collided with a 2015 Cadillac SRX traveling southbound on Schoenherr Road and making a left turn onto Greenville Drive. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. Officials say alcohol did not appear to be a factor. MONROE, Mich. The Monroe County Sheriffs Office is investigating a traffic crash involving a Monroe County Sheriffs Animal Control Division vehicle from their department that occurred in Monroe on Thursday. Officials say a 44-year-old woman was driving westbound on M-50 and disregarded a red light at the intersection of Raisinville and South Custer roads, striking the county sheriffs vehicle that was traveling south on Rasinville Road. The driver of the county sheriffs vehicle was transported to the hospital and listed in critical condition. Officials say the woman driver, from Hudson, Michigan, sustained serious injuries and was also taken to the hospital. The woman is believed to have been involved in a previous hit-and-run incident in Monroe, officials said.

DEARBORN, Mich. – A 12-year-old boy suffered critical injuries during a crash Friday morning on eastbound I-94 in Dearborn. Two lanes on eastbound I-94 have been blocked for hours near Schaefer Highway. Police said the Chrysler crashed into the truck when the truck was getting up to speed when entering eastbound I-94 from Schaefer Highway. The female driver of the Chrysler suffered serious injuries to her legs, police said. The truck driver was not hurt.

HARPER WOODS, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Transportation said that westbound I-94 near the Allard Avenue exit was closed due to a crash. The crash happened around 5 p.m. on Friday in the Harper Woods area. Traffic was being routed off at the Allard exit. Police said the road was back open just before 7 p.m.Police said one serious injury has been reported. BRUCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 22-year-old man is facing life threatening injuries after crashing his car into a tree early Friday morning in Bruce Township. Michigan State Police responded to the crash just after midnight. The scene was at Ebeling Road, east of Van Dyke Avenue. The 22 year old male driver from Capac was entrapped and needed to be extricated by the Bruce/Romeo Fire Department before being transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries. The investigation is continuing.”
