An investigation has been opened to get to the bottom of who is responsible for vandalism at L’Anse Creuse High School that took place over the weekend.

SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco home of Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, was vandalized on New Year’s Day. Responding officers found graffiti painted on her garage door and a severed pig’s head left in the driveway. Police say the graffiti referenced $2,000 COVID relief payments and rent cancellations. The messages were covered with garbage bags, and the pig’s head was removed. Police are still investigating the vandalism.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) is attempting to identify three people who vandalized the 22nd Circuit Court building in downtown Ann Arbor around 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7. GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Police are investigating vandalism that left several headstones at a Jewish cemetery in Grand Rapids spray-painted with “TRUMP” and “MAGA” before President Donald Trump held his final campaign rally in the western Michigan city. Grand Rapids police officers on Monday found six headstones spray-painted with red paint at the Ahavas Israel Cemetery. The vandalized graves were discovered hours before Trump visited Grand Rapids late Monday night in his final campaign rally before Election Day. Wittkowski said the Grand Rapids Police Department had made no arrests or identified any suspects in the vandalism as of Tuesday morning. WARREN, Mich. – Michael John Frederick Jr. is accused of firing shots into the home of a family of veterans, slashing their tires, smashing a window, vandalizing their truck with a swastika, expletives and the words “Not Welcome.”Frederick faced Judge Michael Chupa Thursday, where he said he wanted the Hall family to forgive him. Teams were sent out to knock on every door south of 11 Mile Road and west of Hoover Road. Investigators believe it was their Black Lives Matter sign that set off a 24-year-old delivery truck driver who lives with his parents around the corner. Police said he confessed to crimes against the Hall family and against another home that had “Pedophile” spray painted on the garage door because they had a Joe Biden sign. She became emotional when she learned the same man fired shots a the home Sept. 7 and Sept. 10. “It brought tears to my eyes.”The police, the FBI and the two veterans targeted in the attacks believe they were targeted for a Black Lives Matter sign they placed in their window.

WARREN, Mich. – Police continue to investigate an apparent hate crime against a family in Warren. The family said they aren’t taking and chances and have temporarily moved out of their own home. They said they’d rather be in their own beds, but have spent the last two weeks in a hotel after their home was targeted in multiple hate crimes. Warren police and the FBI are investigating, but the person has not been caught yet. The family said they feel terrorized and will likely feel that way until the culprit has been caught.

RIVERVIEW, Mich. – Police are looking for a person wanted in connection to the vandalism of a vehicle at a gas station in Riverview. According to authorities, at about 7 a.m. Sept. 7, the suspected vandal damaged a vehicle at the Mobil Gas Station located near the intersection of Fort Street and Pennsylvania Road. At first he thought it rained the night before, and that caused the damage, but that wasn’t the case. Especially to a place where not only kids play, but a garden where they took pride in designing and building, that they can enjoy while at school.

A Macomb County family and their home came under attack Wednesday night. The safety of the Hall family home in Warren was shattered at about 10 p.m. Wednesday. Outside, the couple found the tires slashed on Hall’s work truck, on Sparks-Hall’s car, and on their son’s car he received for graduating. DETROIT – Police are looking for a person wanted in connection with a malicious destruction of property on Detroit’s west side. Police said the culprit became irate, threatened the employee and broke a computer monitor before leaving the store. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and black pants. DETROIT Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with destruction of property at a liquor store in the 9900 block of Gratiot Avenue in Detroit. Police say the man, who goes by the name Jeezy, was reportedly at the store around 6:57 p.m. on Aug. 1 and threw a rock into the front door before fleeing the property. The man is described as having a medium complexion and black hair. He was last seen wearing dark sunglasses, a white baseball cap, dark-colored shirt with flowers on the sleeves, dark jogging pants with white and red stripes on the side and dark-colored shoes. ROYAL OAK, Mich. A 24-year-old man has been charged with eight counts of malicious destruction of property after he admitted to writing on the Lafayette Parking Structure and several United States Post Office mailboxes. Police were dispatched on July 7 about a man seen near West Sixth and South West streets matching the description of a graffiti suspect from the parking structure. The man, identified as Jack Cleaveland, of Royal Oak, admitted to writing Jack on the property and using liquid paint on the post office mailboxes. Cleaveland was arraigned on Aug. 7 and released on a $1,000 personal bond. Police say Cleaveland does not have any prior convictions or criminal history.

HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. Video captured a man trash Azzos Liquor in Highland Park after the store owner claims he was turned away for not wearing a mask Sunday. The surveillance video captures a man in a white shirt holding a bag over his mouth. When he approaches the counter, the owner turns the man away for not wearing a real mask and the man angrily storms out of the store. If youre against wearing a mask, dont take it out on a store. The mask order is still in place for anyone indoors and the fine for not wearing a mask is $500.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Police in Grand Rapids are investigating “Defund Police” messages spray-painted on driveways at the homes of city officials and at a government parking garage. “These bullying and intimidation tactics are unacceptable and won’t be tolerated. “There is a process in place for determining our department’s budget, and we must let that process play out," he said. A member of the city commission, Milinda Ysasi, has proposed cutting the police budget by $9 million. The budget cut could cause dozens of layoffs, according to the Grand Rapids Police Officers Association and Grand Rapids Police Command Officers Association.

EASTPOINTE, Mich. – A church in Eastpointe is in need of major repair work, and three teenagers are facing felony charges in connection with the vandalism. Two of the charged teens are just 13 years old. Lt. Dave Ernatt, with Eastpointe Police, said that from there, the teens ransacked the kitchen and knocked over some boxes of food. Two 13 year old teens were arrested at the scene. “Breaking and entering of a building to commit a crime and commit damage, that’s a felony charge."

SOUTH LYON, Mich. – A vandal or vandals are targeting Christmas light displays at homes in South Lyon and neighboring Green Oak Township. Mike Chezick puts up a dazzling display at his house each year, bringing joy to the neighborhood. “I find it really sad that someone would come out here and cut wires and be a Grinch for Christmas displays. I felt bad for them,” Chezick said. Chezick posted about the vandalism on the Nextdoor app, only to find out at least three other houses had their decorations vandalized as well.
