DETROIT – Northbound lanes of the Lodge Freeway after Meyers Road in Detroit are back open after a deadly crash.
The crash happened around 7:35 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023. The freeway was back open by 11:23 a.m.

Michigan State Police said when troopers arrived one of the drivers was unresponsive and troopers began CPR.
Police said traffic was stopped when a 34-year-old driver of a Chevy SUV struck a Dodge Avenger. The Avenger was pushed into a Toyota and the Toyota was pushed into a Ford.
The 21-year-old driver of the Avenger was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Chevy SUV was transported to an area hospital and treated for minor injuries. There were no other reported injuries.
The driver of the Avenger was not wearing a seatbelt.
