DETROIT – A stretch of I-94 in Detroit will close Friday, March 21 for beam installation of the Cass Avenue bridge over the freeway.
Both eastbound and westbound lanes will be closed at 8 p.m. They are expected to reopen to normal traffic Monday at 5 a.m.

Eastbound drivers will be detoured onto southbound M-10 (Lodge Freeway) and on northbound I-75 back to eastbound I-94. A single eastbound lane on I-94 will remain open for local traffic access to the Lodge.
Westbound drivers will be detoured onto southbound I-75 to westbound I-96 back to westbound I-94.
Additional bridge work will close the westbound lanes of I-94 between I-75 and the Lodge Freeway during the weekend of April 5-8. The eastbound lanes are expected to remain open.
