NOVI, Mich. – A section of eastbound I-96 in Novi will be closed on Sunday, May 5, so hazmat can clean up a crash site.
A semi truck crashed on Thursday, April 18, 2024, in the eastbound lanes of I-96, near Beck Road.
Eastbound I-96 between Beck and Novi roads will be closed from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., on Sunday, May 5, so hazmat crews can clean up the area. The Wixom Road ramps will also be closed.
The detour will use eastbound Grand River Avenue. Drivers are being warned to expect delays.
