Women killed were 88 and 63 years old

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Westland resident Jose Eugenio Medina-Hernandez, 33, was charged in connection with a traffic incident that killed two women.

The incident occurred on Thursday (June 6) when the 33-year-old man was driving a box truck southbound on M-53 in Shelby Township when he rear-ended a Buick Verano, which triggered a chain reaction involving two other vehicles.
