DETROIT – The summer season of orange barrels and incessant construction will continue to impact drivers in Southeast Michigan this weekend.
Some freeways, busy main roads and ramps will be closed at different intervals this weekend in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. Some closures are more temporary, while others are expected to last several weeks.
Here’s a list of Metro Detroit road closures between June 14 and June 17, as provided by the Michigan Department of Transportation.
Road, lane, ramp closures
I-75 in Wayne County:
- NB/SB I-75 ramps closed to EB M-8. When: Saturday, June 15, 4 a.m.-4 p.m.
I-94 in Macomb County:
- EB/WB I-94 at 9 Mile Rd, two lanes open. When: Saturday, June 15, 5 a.m.-9 p.m.
- EB/WB I-94 ramps closed to 9 Mile. When: Saturday, June 15, 5 a.m.-9 p.m.
- EB/WB 9 Mile ramps closed to EB/WB I-94. When: Saturday, June 15, 5 a.m.-9 p.m.
- EB I-94 ramp closed to Little Mack. When: Monday, June 17, 9 a.m.-late June.
I-96 in Wayne County:
- EB I-96 Express closed from Outer Drive to M-8. When: Friday, June 14, 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday.
- WB I-96 ramp to NB I-275, one ramp lane open. When: Monday, June 17, 5 a.m.-late July.
- NB/SB Newburgh ramp closed to WB M-14/I-96. When: Monday, June 17, 5 a.m. – late July.
I-275 in Wayne County:
- SB I-275, I-94 to Eureka, one lane open. When: Monday, June 17, 6 a.m.-early July.
- NB/SB I-275 ramps closed to WB M-14. When: Friday, June 14, 8 p.m.-late July.
Woodward Avenue:
- Oakland County: NB M-1 at Square Lake Rd, three lanes open. When: Monday, June 17, 7 a.m.-early July.
- Wayne County: SB M-1, Calvert St to Chicago, one lane open. When: Monday, June 17, 9 a.m.-early July.
M-3 (Gratiot Avenue):
- In Wayne/Macomb counties: NB/SB M-3, 8 Mile to 10 Mile roads, two lanes open. When: Saturday, June 15, noon-9 p.m.
M-8 (Davison Freeway) in Wayne County:
- WB M-8 ramp closed to EB I-96. When: Friday, June 14, 8 p.m.-5 a.m. on Monday.
- WB M-8 ramps closed to NB/SB I-75. When: Saturday, June 15, 4 a.m.-4 p.m.
- EB M-8 ramp closed to NB I-75. When: Saturday, June 15, 4 a.m.-4 p.m.
M-14 in Wayne County:
- EB/WB M-14 closed from Sheldon to I-275. When: Friday, June 14, 8 p.m.-5 a.m. on Monday.
- WB M-14 ramp to Sheldon. When: Friday, June 14, 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday.
- NB/SB Sheldon ramps closed to EB/WB M-14. When: Friday, June 14, 8 p.m.-late July.
- NB/SB Beck ramps closed to EB M-14. When: Friday, June 14, 8 p.m.-5 a.m. on Monday.
- WB M-14, Newburgh to Beck, one lane open. When: Monday, June 17, 5 a.m.-early July.
- EB M-14, Sheldon to I-275, two lanes open. When: Monday, June 17, 5 a.m.-early July.
- NB/SB Newburgh ramp closed to WB M-14/I-96. When: Monday, June 17, 5 a.m.–late July.
- WB I-96/M-14 ramp to NB I-275, one lane open. When: Monday, June 17, 5 a.m.–late July.
