Flooding cleared on EB I-696 at 11 Mile Road in Roseville

Rain expected to return Friday afternoon

ROSEVILLE, Mich. – The flooding on eastbound I-696 at 11 Mile Road in Roseville has been cleared.

MDOT put an alert out about the closure on X (formerly Twitter) at 9:59 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 2, 2024. MDOT said the flooding had been cleared at 11:29 a.m.

The 4Warn Weather team is expecting showers and thunderstorms to return in the afternoon/evening hours on Friday. The storms will be slow-moving and capable of producing heavy rainfall rates.

The rain is expected to fall the heaviest this afternoon. Most areas will receive a quarter inch or less, and there will be a potential for some areas to receive 1 to 2 inches by Saturday morning.
