CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Wayne County has a plan for the potholes on Canton Center Road.
The road will undergo concrete patching this year between Ford and Warren roads, said Kaye Byrd, a spokeswoman for the Wayne County Department of Public Service. Byrd said the project is expected to be about $650,000. One lane of traffic will be open in each direction during construction. A start date will be scheduled later this year.

Concrete patching means the county will remove, or cut out, sections of the concrete and replace it with new concrete. This is a step further than patching the potholes with asphalt.
This is good news for drivers who have been complaining of severe potholes on the road, specifically between Ford and Warren roads. Canton Center Road was named among the worst roads for potholes by drivers who participated in a ClickOnDetroit survey (it's ongoing).
