Allergist advises preemptive steps against spring allergies

As spring approaches, warmer weather brings the challenge of allergies. Experts, like Dr. Christopher Brooks, advise taking preemptive actions such as using saline and steroid nasal sprays or long-acting antihistamine pills to prevent symptoms before they start. Checking pollen forecasts and maintaining allergy hygiene, like washing hands and showering after being outdoors, are also recommended. If current medications are ineffective, consulting an allergist for further treatment is advised, and keeping windows closed to minimize indoor pollen exposure is suggested.
