Motor City Match program expands to help businesses

The Motor City Match program awarded $1.1 million to entrepreneurs in Detroit, with an additional $70,000 going to a business with a special mission. Daryl Young, owner of Moma G’s, received $100,000 to transform a vacant building into his dream restaurant. Despite a past felony conviction, Young has actively contributed to the city's Community Violence Intervention Program. With the new funding, he and others can now start businesses in the communities they've been striving to improve.
