Prosecutor: Oakland County man kills neighbor, sexually assaults victim’s wife, daughter

A 50-year-old Pontiac man, Timothy Ernest Legard, faces 11 felony charges after allegedly stabbing his neighbor to death and sexually assaulting the victim’s wife and daughter on Sept. 18. The assaults occurred at the family's home on Ypsilanti Avenue, where the women escaped and called 911. Legard was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping, and multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct and assault with a dangerous weapon. He remains in Oakland County Jail and could face life in prison if convicted.
