Chance meeting leads to White House friendship

During a pandemic-induced work layoff, Shanina Meeks took her 8-year-old son Jonas to the White House after he expressed a desire to visit. A chance meeting with a White House historian led to an unexpected tour inside and sparked a unique friendship. This connection resulted in annual invitations to the White House Easter Egg Roll and, recently, to the grand opening of the new White House replica, "The People’s House: White House Experience."
