‘Groomer, pedophile’ charged in death of 13-year-old Detroit girl last seen in January

Authorities have confirmed the disappearance of 13-year-old Na’Ziyah Harris is being treated as a homicide, with substantial evidence indicating her death, although her body has not been found. Harris, allegedly pregnant and seeking an abortion at the time, was last seen on January 9 in Detroit. Prosecutor Kym Worthy identified 41-year-old Jarvis Butts as the suspect, charged with child pornography, criminal sexual conduct, and murder in connection with Harris' death and the sexual abuse of two other minors. Butts, described as a "classic expert groomer and pedophile," allegedly targeted women to exploit their daughters, with Harris' abuse beginning in 2022.
