Wayne County expands fleet with high-tech snowplows

Wayne County has enhanced its snow and ice removal fleet with the addition of five advanced trucks, equipped with modern technology such as cameras, GPS, and sensors that monitor road conditions, salt usage, and blade angles. These trucks are significant in size and come with high-tech features for driver comfort, including a steering system controlled by sticks, 360-degree views, and heated interiors. The new technology aims to improve road safety during winter storms, and there's a legal requirement to maintain a distance of 200 feet from these snowplows to prevent accidents.
