Drivers face new 2.3% credit card fee for Mackinac Bridge

Starting New Year's Day, drivers crossing the Mackinac Bridge should be aware of a new 2.3% convenience fee for credit card transactions, approved by the Mackinac Bridge Authority due to rising transaction costs. This fee will add 9 cents to the typical $4 toll. To avoid the extra charge, customers can choose to pay with cash in the toll lanes.
