Michigan clinic faces charges in child's fiery hyperbaric chamber death

Michigan’s Attorney General has announced charges against the owner and three employees of a clinic following the death of five-year-old Thomas Cooper inside a hyperbaric chamber. The charges include second-degree murder for the owner, Tamela Peterson, safety manager Jeffery Mostellar, and primary management assistant Gary Marken, while hyperbaric chamber operator Aleta Moffitt faces charges of involuntary manslaughter and falsifying records. The Attorney General alleges the clinic ignored safety protocols and manipulated equipment data, prioritizing profits over safety. Further accusations include attempts to cover up evidence by deleting data from electronic devices.
