Gov. Whitmer discusses Selfridge expansion, working with Trump in exclusive interview with Local 4

After his arrival, Trump spent some time at the base before heading to Macomb Community College for his rally. He kicked off the day with a significant announcement for Michigan's auto industry. Trump signed an executive order to modify auto tariffs to boost domestic production. Now, domestic car makers can receive reimbursements when they import parts. After that, he returned to Selfridge Air Base and announced that a new series of fighter jets would be stationed there. This followed a meeting he had with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer earlier this month.
