Michigan stink bug invasion: What to do if you find them

Stink bugs in Michigan, especially non-native varieties from Asia, are becoming active after winter and trying to return outdoors. According to Dr. Julianna Wilson from Michigan State University, these bugs do not harm humans or animals and rarely emit odors unless squished. Homeowners are advised to seal entry points to prevent them from entering homes, as they are difficult to remove once inside. Stink bugs feed on fruits and nuts outside, posing potential risks to agriculture, particularly in orchards and fields.
