Motor City Contractor Fund helps Metro Detroit builders land big projects across US
The Motor City Contractor Fund (MCCF), hosted at Wayne County Community College, is a 10-month program designed to help Detroit-based contractors expand their businesses through education and resources like affordable lending and one-on-one coaching. The program, supported by stakeholders and partners like the Gilbert Family Foundation, aims to equip contractors with the skills needed to secure major projects, as demonstrated by graduate Robert Matlock, who expanded his company to multiple states. MCCF is currently seeking 50 new applicants for its next cohort, emphasizing the importance of including Detroit residents in the city's commercial project opportunities.
