Evening of Dreams Prom brings joy to Metro Detroit teens battling illness

The Evening of Dreams Prom, hosted by the Detroit-area non-profit Wish Upon a Teen, offers teenagers battling serious medical conditions a complete prom experience at no cost, including formal attire and professional hair and makeup services. The event, held at the Emagine Theater in Royal Oak, aims to provide joy and normalcy for these teens, as explained by Executive Director Nancy Sovran. Patrice Tinnon and Lisa Galas, both of whom lost daughters to cancer in 2022, returned to volunteer, inspired by the meaningful experiences the prom offers to families facing similar challenges.
