Security guard foils Pontiac high school mass shooting
Dhaeveon Whaley and Jamarion Hardiman are facing charges related to a foiled plot to shoot up a high school graduation in Oakland County. The men allegedly hid weapons in the parking lot of United Wholesale Mortgage in Pontiac, where the ceremony was scheduled, and Hardiman is also charged with assault. They are being held on high cash bonds due to the perceived threat they pose. A security officer, formerly with the Oakland County sheriff’s office and now working for Fortis Security, alerted authorities, effectively preventing the potential mass shooting.
