Full presser: Detroit implementing new curfew enforcement plan to prevent teen violence

The city of Detroit has implemented a new plan to prevent summer violence after seeing an uptick violence involving minors. Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison and Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan held a press conference on Monday, July 7, 2025, to discuss the plan, which includes changes to times mobile field teams will be in operation across the city and a fine increase for parents.
