DETROIT – If you're looking for the best pizza slice in Detroit, you've come to the right place.  From specialty slices to breakfast pizza, voters have chosen their favorite pizza by the slice in this year's Vote 4 The Best contest.

Supino Pizzeria

Coming in first place is Supino Pizzeria in Detroit's Eastern Market.  Offering red pizzas (with sauce), white pizzas (without sauce), and make your own pizzas, Supino's also serves up specialty slices for its customers.

Also on its menu are classic Italian favorites, such as Supino's mancini salad to cannolis.

Local 4 viewer Shelby says she eats their pizza every week.

"Love the portobello mushrooms, crispy crust and flavorful sauce," said Shelby.

Dearborn Italian Bakery

Awarded also in the past for best pizza by the slice, Dearborn Italian Bakery comes in second in this year's Vote 4 The Best contest.

In addition to slices, the bakery sells pepperoni rolls, large meat lasagna, breaded chicken and more.  What's also unique on its menu is its breakfast pizza, served mornings from 6 to 9 am.

"Forget bagels, Dearborn Itality Bakery breakfast pizza is a huge hit at morning office meetings," said Emily.

Primo's Pizza of Birmingham

Since 1978, Primo's Pizza of Birmingham says it has served up pizzas using dough made fresh everyday and the best ingredients.  This may be why it places third on the list of best pizza by the slice in Detroit.

Whether it be pizza, hamburgers, soups, or even groceries, Primo's also sells both round and square pizzas for its customers.

"Hands down, they have it," said Don, who recommended Primo's Pizza.

Fred's Pizza

Owned by the Gjysma family, Fred's Pizzeria says it was originally started by Fred in 2005 and is now operated by his son, Erjon Gjysma.

The pizzeria, located in Fraser, says it offers a variety of pizzas on its menu, along with appetizers, wraps, pitas, salads and more.  For vegetarians, Fred's sells a wheat crust vegetarian pizza.

Theresa says Fred's Pizza always service you with a smile.

"I love it when we got to the best pizza place I've ever had and they know your name," said Theresa. "Very friendly and the food is outstanding."
