Beginning the countdown to the best coney island in Detroit is Mark's Midtown Coney Island.  The coney island says it serves breakfast anytime, offers Greek salads and has many items on its menu to choose from.

With three locations across Metro Detroit, voters have recommended the coney island for its "awesome food, awesome staff and awesome atmosphere."

Next on the list is Wild Coney & Grill, located in Southgate, Michigan.  The coney island says it's different because it offers unique and delicious food that meets the highest standards of quality.

While combining both modern-creative and traditional styles, Wild Coney & Grill says it provides fast courtesy service that is above and beyond normal expectations.

"The best and quickest food downriver," said Kathy. "My favorite place to eat."

3) Canton Coney Island

Ranking third on the list of best coney islands in Detroit is Canton Coney Island.  Since it began operating over 27 years ago, the coney island says they offer the largest buffet in the area, which includes seafood, Greek food, sandwiches and salads.

"I think Canton Coney Island should be number one in town," said T.J. "They have the best chili cheese fries."

2) Family Treat

Coming in second on the list of best coney islands in Detroit is Family Treat.   Located on Springwells Street in southwest Detroit, Family Treat says it offers the best footlong in town.

Karen, who voted in this year's contest, agrees adding that the chili cheese fries are also delicious.

"I have gone here since I was a child and now my children love it," said Karen. "This is a fantastic treat for your family."

Topping the list of best coney islands in Detroit is Romira's Coney Island.  Whether it's coney dogs, pita wraps, homemade soups or pasta dinners, the coney island says they use only the best and freshest ingredients.

Located in Troy, Michigan, those that voted Romira's Coney Island as the best coney island crave their gyros, soups, and farmer's omelet.

"Ate there for the first time and really liked the food," said Pennie. "Have to say the place was very clean."

"Love their home made corned beef hash with eggs," said Frans.
