DETROIT – Light snow is moving through in waves and some of it is sticking to the cold surfaces. Be careful driving today. There are a few bands of heavier snow along I-69 north of Detroit, and south of I-94 south of Detroit. Most of us will see scattered light snow come to an end by 3 or 4 pm. Highs will be in the low to mid 20s with wind chills in the teens and single digits. Winds SW turning WNW 8-14 mph.
Thursday will be even colder with a few lake effect flurries and some cold sunshine during the day. Lows start in the single digits with dangerous subzero wind chills, and then upper teens to near 20 degrees by tomorrow afternoon. Friday will be cold with another chance for afternoon snow showers as we await what could be a big snow maker for the weekend.
