WINDSOR, Ontario – A tornado touched down in at least one southern Ontario community Wednesday evening, Environment Canada reports.
Tornado damage has been reported in the 3200 block of Deziel Drive in LaSalle, Ontario, and the southwest side of Windsor.

The National Weather Service reports an eyewitness saw the tornado near LaSalle, Ontario, at 7:10 p.m.
"Our emergency operations centre has been opened to get a proper assessment of the damage and to coordinate our efforts," Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens announced. "No injuries reported."

"Tornado Damage on 3200 block of Deziel Dr." Windsor police posted on Twitter. "Avoid the area because of power lines down and debris."
LaSalle Fire Service reported being on a tornado scene on Victory Street.
