Happy Fall! The Autumnal Equinox starts at 10:21 a.m. today which means equal day, equal night and the start of the Fall Season.
It will feel a lot more like summer today however, as highs warm into the mid 80s under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Radar shows a big area of rain and thunderstorms west in Wisconsin, but models insist on dragging the wet weather to our north into a cold front over Northern Lower Michigan. That said, we cannot rule out a few showers in our West and North Zones later today.
We will see more steady cloud cover tomorrow as that cold front north moves closer and closer to home. So, highs only hit the mid to maybe upper 70s. Scattered showers along that front through the morning and afternoon.
Saturday brings an isolated shower or two, but the weekend looks mostly dry. Call Saturday mostly cloudy with highs in the low 70s again with a shower or two midday. Sunday will be brighter and a touch warmer with highs staying mainly in the low to maybe mid 70s. A few good chances for rain arrive next week late Monday into Tuesday.
