DETROIT – Welcome to November’s first full weekend, Motown!
It’s a new month and mother nature has flipped the switch. It feels like winter, and it will be a lot chillier than average this weekend. On and off snow showers will occur during the first half. Some sunshine returns the second half, but it will remain chilly.
Saturday morning will be mostly cloudy and cold. Temperature start in the upper 20s and low 30s. Families going to fall festivals, services for other early activities will need to use caution on the roads. Light rain and snow showers will dot the landscape at breakfast time and before noon.
Sunrise is at 8:07 a.m. ET.
Saturday afternoon will still be a little slick and chilly. Scattered flurries, sprinkles and light rain and snow showers persist. No heavy accumulation, but ramps, bridges and overpasses will be especially affected. It remains a little dicey while traveling to and from the Eastern Michigan University football game against Buffalo. Kick off is at noon ET. Highs will only be in the low 40s; 15 to 20 degrees below average.
Saturday evening will have scattered flurries and temperatures in the upper 30s.
Sunset is at 6:26 p.m. ET.
Daylight Saving Time comes to an end tonight. Remember to fall back one hour by turning your clocks back one hour before going to bed, Saturday night. It will be colder with scattered flurries overnight and temperatures in the upper 20s and low 30s.
After catching up on one hour of sleep, Sunday will become partly sunny. Still colder than average with high temperatures around 45°F.
Monday becomes cloudy and not as chilly. I will be near 50°F.
Scattered sprinkles and light showers are possible Monday night and Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon temperatures will be in the low to mid 40s.
