Metro Detroit weather: Some wet weather arriving Sunday night, above freezing

DETROIT – Welcome to Sunday evening, Motown!

Clouds are arriving along with southerly winds. It remains above freezing overnight with some wet weather that continues Monday. Much colder by the end of the week.

Sunday evening becomes mostly cloudy. It remains chilly with temperatures holding steady in the low 40s.

The new area of low pressure arrives early Monday morning. So, Sunday night will have increasing clouds, and rain showers arrived by dawn. Overnight lows will be in the upper 30s. There’s a better chance of wet roadways than icy ones.

The rest of Monday I’ll be wet but not as chilly. Highs will be near 50°F. This be the highest temperature of the week.

Partly sunny skies return, Tuesday. Daytime temps will be near 45°F.

Wednesday will have a chance of rain and snow showers, again. Highs will be in the low 40s.

Behind a cold front, temperatures take a nosedive the rest of the week. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, highs will only be in the low to upper 30s. Nighttime lows will be in the 20s.
