Snow showers are moving through Metro Detroit this Thursday morning with temps in the upper 20s to low 30s feeling about five degrees cooler with a little breeze.
So, your roads may be a little bit slippery with some of this light snow moving through behind a cold front and that light snow starts to move east by 8 a.m. Then, we’ll see cooler air pouring in with highs hanging in the mid 30s feeling more like upper 20s as the winds pick up NW 5-15 mph gusting at times this afternoon 15-25 mph.
That wind will create some lake effect snow chances, especially for those of you who live south or southeast of the big lakes on the east side.
Otherwise, a blend of sun and clouds with flurries flying at times through the afternoon and early evening.
Friday, weekend forecast
Friday and Saturday morning lows will be cold! Skies clear and that will set us up for the coolest air of the season on those morning with in the low 20s. Ton of sun Friday and it’s another day where we likely won’t see highs get out of the 30s even with all of that sun.
Saturday is cold and tranquil with a chance at getting into the low 40s after a chilly start. Clouds will be on the increase late Saturday and we may see a few light rain/snow showers Saturday night and then into Sunday morning.
Sunday is a better bet for a little wet weather here in SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario, but it doesn’t look like too much. You may have to take a break or two as you rake those leaves, but temps should get into the low or mid 40s by the end of your weekend.
Monday forecast
Monday is Veteran’s Day and we do expect a little more wet weather then. It should be in the form of snow showers as temps start to drop again early next week. Some of that snow and/or wintry mix will linger into early Tuesday and should be snow as temps most of next week are only in the 20s to low 30s -- that’s it.
