Early snowfall reports top 30 inches in Northern Michigan

All of Michigan saw at least some sort of snow on Monday -- but some parts of the state saw upwards of a foot.

The National Weather Service released a “very” preliminary 48-hour snowfall report as of 8 a.m. on Tuesday, showing the highest snowfall reports around the state.

In Metro Detroit, the highest report was in Ann Arbor at 11 inches. But in Empire, just west of Traverse City, 30 inches of snow was reported. Take a look below:
