DETROIT – We have rain today through the late morning and afternoon.
The warm front means highs will hit the upper 40s and a lot of lower 50s with winds SSW 10-20 mph gusting 25-35 mph at times today.
Your afternoon errand running, and evening commute will be impacted by the showers today as we say goodbye to all of that snow which is almost gone already. Showers should taper off around 8 or 9 p.m. tonight and we expect a shot of cooler air to follow later tonight and overnight.
Friday forecast
Showers should be gone early tomorrow as temps start to tumble Friday starting in the upper 30s to low 40s and ending mainly in the upper 30s with winds WNW 7-17 mph keeping wind chills in the 20s at times. It will be a dry day Friday and we should also see a decent amount of sunshine. So, It’s back to the cool stuff this weekend with 20s early and highs only 38-43°F both weekend days.
Weekend forecast
Model data is split on where the weekend storm will move late Saturday. If it takes a northern track, we will get snow showers Saturday night. If it stays south, it will become a problematic nor’easter. We’ll keep an eye on it because there’s a good chance that system stays south of the Ohio Border. Sunday will be dry with sun and clouds.
Thanksgiving week forecast
There’s another storm coming in Tuesday night and/or Wednesday of next week that could create problems for Thanksgiving travel all across Pure Michigan. Right now it looks like mainly rain and should be gone by the time America’s Thanksgiving Parade gets started. Again, we’ll keep you posted.
