It felt like the desert then the tropics much of this week. After the remnants of "Cristobal," it feels like fall all weekend.

It will be cool to mild, Saturday, and a bit warmer, Sunday. Skies will be blue during the day and starry at night. Sky-high temps return next week.

Saturday morning begins with an amazing astronomical sight in the sky. Mars will appear to the upper right of the moon at dawn. The rest of the morning will be clear and cool with temperatures in the 40s and low 50s. A north wind will keep it crisp all morning. Grab your jackets to stay warm and sunglasses to protect your eyes the rest of the day.

Saturday afternoon will be mostly sunny and mild. Highs will be in the middle 60s; 10 to 20 degrees below average.

Saturday evening will be fair and cool. Temperatures fall to the 50s just before and after dusk.

Saturday night will be clear and chilly. Overnight lows will be in the 40s.

Sunday will be sunny and warmer. Highs will be in the low 70s. Another great day for driving motorcycles and convertibles.

Monday will be sunny and more seasonable. It will be much warmer with highs in the upper 70s.

Tuesday becomes hotter. Going to the pool, if they're open, will be much more pleasant with highs in the low and middle 80s.

Wednesday and Thursday will be hotter with more sunshine. Highs will be in the upper 80s and low 90s.
