Metro Detroit weather: Sunny and mild final Sunday of summer

Highs in the middle and upper 60s

DETROIT – Welcome to Sunday, Motown.

After a frosty start, Sunday afternoon becomes milder. It becomes chillier tonight. More sunshine returns to end summer and start fall. Higher temperatures are on the way too.

Sunday afternoon will be bright and a bit milder. High temperatures reach the middle and upper 60s. Put on your sunglasses and put the top down for a beautiful afternoon drive.

Sunday evening will be cool and clear. Temperatures will be in the low 60s then 50s.

Sunset is at 7:33 p.m.

Sunday night will be fair and chilly. Overnight lows return to the upper 30s and 40s.

Monday is the last full day of astronomical summer, and it will have plenty of sunshine with mild conditions. Highs will be closer to 70°F.
