Good Monday morning!
We hope you had a great Easter weekend and end of Passover. And what a weekend it was, weather-wise! We sure can’t complain about Mother Nature’s timing on bringing in the good stuff.
Monday’s sunrise is at 7:09 a.m.
Monday won’t be as pretty as the weekend, but we should start the day with at least partial sunshine before shower and thunderstorm chances increase late morning through early evening. It will not rain that entire time, but there will be some downpours part of the day, so be sure to have an umbrella handy if you’ll be out and about. Highs continue to be mild, with mid 60s for the heart of the area. It will be warmer to the south and cooler in the Thumb. Southeast winds will blow at 5 to 10 mph.
Monday’s sunset is at 8:04 p.m.
Any evening showers and thunderstorms should end early Monday, leaving us mostly cloudy for the remainder of the night. Lows will be in the mid 40s. East winds will blow at 3 to 6 mph.
More rain chances ahead
It becomes partly cloudy and warmer on Tuesday, with highs in the mid 70s. It will be mostly cloudy Tuesday night and very mild as lows only drop into the mid 50s. That’s our long-term average high right now!
It remains partly cloudy on Wednesday, with highs again in the mid 70s.
Clouds increase Wednesday night and it will continue to be mild, with lows in the low to mid 50s.
It will be mostly cloudy on Thursday with showers developing. Highs will be in the low 70s.
Shower chances continue Thursday night into Friday, with lows Thursday night in the low to mid 50s, and highs Friday in the upper 60s (20 degrees Celsius).
Weekend preview
We should get partial sunshine for the first half of the day Saturday, then clouds increase. There is a chance for a shower later in the day Saturday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s. Showers are likely Saturday night, with lows in the mid 40s.
We’ll probably wake up to some showers Sunday morning, but they’ll end and we’ll hopefully be dry for the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 60s.
Obviously, the weekend is still quite a ways off, so the rain timing could change -- but this is how I see it today. Stay tuned!
