DETROIT – It’s another beautiful day in paradise, with abundant sunshine and temperatures near 70 degrees (21 degrees Celsius) in most areas.
Thursday night will be another quiet night, with nothing more than some high, thin clouds passing by from time to time. Lows will once again be near 50 degrees (10 degrees Celsius) in our Urban Heat Island, and in the 40s (5 to 8 degrees Celsius) in suburban and rural areas. Any light wind we have during the daylight hours will diminish, leaving us with calm air overnight.
Friday morning’s sunrise is at 7:31 a.m.
Friday will be another winner, with sunshine and some high, thin clouds making for a very pretty sky. Highs once again will reach the low to mid 70s (22 to 23 degrees Celsius), with a south wind at 3 to 6 mph.
Friday evening still looks spectacular for our high school football games, and the rest of the night should be equally quiet with just partly cloudy skies developing. Lows in the mid 50s (12 degrees Celsius).
Weekend Update
Saturday still looks like a day we can enjoy, as I think the rain will hold off until after dinnertime. We should have at least partly cloudy skies for a while before clouds increase by mid-to-late afternoon. That sunshine will boost temperatures into the mid and possibly even upper 70s (25 to 26 degrees Celsius)! This is your day to get that yard work or outdoor chores done, that round of fall golf in, and that trip to the cider mill off the checklist.
Rain showers increase Saturday evening, with the clouds overnight also keeping temperatures from dropping too far -- we should only bottom out in the low 60s (16 degrees Celsius).
Showers are likely on Sunday. It may not rain 100% of the day, so keep an eye on our app’s real-time radar to see where there may be some opportunities to get outside for a quick jog, or to take the dog for a walk. Highs probably only topping out around 70 degrees (21 degrees Celsius).
