Live radar: Track rain, storms moving through SE Michigan today

1-2 inches of rain possible Tuesday

DETROIT – We’re tracking a lot of rain moving through Southeast Michigan on Tuesday, with 1-2 inches possible in some areas.

Rain all day -- here’s more from Brandon Roux:

We will mix in a little rain and thunder this afternoon, with severe storm potential present down south into Central Indiana and Ohio. In Metro Detroit, our biggest problem today will be the possibility of getting 1-2 inches of new rain, which is a little too much, too fast. Some pooling and ponding is possible on the roads, especially through the afternoon leading into the evening commute.

Highs will be in the mid-to-upper 50s and winds will move E at 5-12 mph, gusting to 20 mph now and again. Be careful on the roads, as the rain will make for some tricky traveling around Metro Detroit.

The rain and thundershowers will become more widely scattered by the late afternoon and into the evening.
