DETROIT – Wild weather week for Metro Detroit as temperatures fluctuate between 70, then chance of rain-snow mix Friday
A crazy weather week is ahead for Metro Detroit. Enjoy the next few days because the bottom is about to fall out with a return of much colder air and maybe even some wet snow mixed with rain by the weekend.
Monday night
Perfect night for the Lunar Eclipse with mostly clear skies and temps in the low to mid-30s Monday night. Look to the WNW sky between 4:06 a.m. and 7:23 a.m. The best time to see the maximum eclipse will be 5:59 a.m.
Wednesday and Thursday
Lots of sunshine and warmth on both days; Wednesday is mostly sunny with a high of 62. Thursday is partly cloudy, with highs in the upper 60s to near 70.
Weekend forecast
The first sign of change begins on Friday. Rain moves in with highs in the mid-60s. Then rain mixed with snow is possible Saturday, and lake-enhanced snow could stick around Sunday. This is not a major snow event by any means; Just a few snowflakes but a big change from the warm weather we will have for most of the work week.
