Live radar: Tracking rounds of potentially severe storms Wednesday in Metro Detroit

Tornadoes, flooding, strong winds, large hail are primary threats

4Warn Weather – Two rounds of storms are expected Wednesday across Southeast Michigan, and severe conditions are possible, including tornadoes, flooding, damaging winds and large hail.

Forecasters predict that spring-like weather conditions on Wednesday will help fuel potentially severe thunderstorms. The biggest threat for severe weather is between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5.

According to 4Warn Meteorologist Ashlee Baracy: The region is under a higher-than-normal threat for strong tornadoes (EF-2 or greater, which would have wind speeds of over 110 mph). Southeast Michigan has also been placed under an Enhanced Risk for severe thunderstorms. Click here to see the full forecast.
