4Warn Weather – Good Thursday morning!
A frost advisory is in effect for the northern Metro Detroit counties until 8 a.m. Most start the day with temps in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
Temps will remain cool throughout the day, thanks to a cold front. Highs will be in the 60s, which is below average. Expect sunshine throughout the day.
Pollen levels are moderate today, so those affected by tree, ragweed and grass pollens may experience some allergy symptoms. Those with allergies or asthma may want to keep an eye on pollen levels this weekend.
Mold spores are currently in the low range.
Warmer Memorial Day weekend
Temps will begin to warm up on Friday, with highs in the low 70s.
Highs will be in the upper 70s on Saturday. Plenty of sunshine is expected Friday and Saturday.
Highs will be even warmer Sunday, reaching the low 80s. Some cloud cover may move in on Sunday and on Monday, according to forecast models.
We’re expecting summer-like heat for Memorial Day. Highs will be in the middle 80s on Monday.
Conditions will remain dry for the holiday weekend.
Even warmer next week
We’ll see even warmer temperatures after Memorial Day.
Highs are expected to rise into the upper 80s on Tuesday. Then, temperatures are looking to take our first run at 90 degrees on Wednesday.
Looking ahead: Rain chances likely won’t return until the end of next week. If that happens, we’ll have gone over two weeks without rainfall in Metro Detroit -- though this wouldn’t come close to breaking any records for lack of rainfall in our area.
