4Warn Weather – Happy Wednesday!
We have a warm and hazy start to Wednesday morning. An air quality alert remains in effect today due to higher levels of ozone formation.
Our Wednesday will be hot and humid again with highs on either side of 90 degrees.
Widely scattered late day showers or non-severe storms will possibly pop up this afternoon in the peak heat of the day, but not everyone will see them.
The chances of showers and thunderstorms increase tonight, mainly after sunset, into Thursday with a passing cold front. Low temperatures tonight will be around 70 degrees.
Tonight’s sunset is at 9:13 p.m.
Rain, scattered storms Thursday
Numerous showers with isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected into Thursday morning.
Temperatures will cool back to around 80 degrees Thursday in the wake of the cold front.
Drying out Friday
As high pressure returns by the end of the week, we’ll become dry Friday with highs near 80 degrees.
There is a slight chance for a shower this weekend, otherwise it will be pretty dry with more sun than clouds and highs around 80 degrees. A better chance of showers is expected to return early next week.
Elsewhere on this Wednesday
Nationally, widely scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are forecast from the central High Plains and eastward into the middle Mississippi Valley on this Wednesday. Excessive heat in the desert in the Southwest will bring triple-digit temperatures each afternoon into Friday.
