Tornado warning for Livingston County canceled

Radar-indicated rotation triggers tornado warning

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mich. – A tornado warning that was issued for Livingston County late Wednesday night has been canceled.

The warning was issued at 11:29 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, when a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was spotted over Oak Grove, near Howell. It was moving east at 25 mph.

This was a radar-indicated rotation.

The warning was canceled around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Northeast Livingston County was the primary area affected.

Livingston is one of seven counties under a tornado watch from 10 p.m. Wednesday until 3 a.m. Thursday: Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Monroe, Livingston, and Lenawee counties.
