4Warn Weather – Our Thursday begins kind of drab with cloudy skies and cool temperatures in the 40s. You might see a light passing shower closer to the Ohio State line through the morning hours, but most of us will stay dry.
Skies will be mostly cloudy today, but we could get a few breaks in the clouds this afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 50s.
We can’t rule out some patchy light rain today, especially for those south of I-96.
Tonight’s sunset is at 6:57 p.m.
Skies will stay mostly cloudy tonight. A passing shower is possible during the overnight hours.
More widespread rain arrives Friday
Spotty showers are possible on Friday, particularly in the northern part of our region and the Thumb. Highs will be in the 50s, and will stay that way over the next week.
Rain showers will become widespread across all of SE Michigan Friday after sunset, making for a soggy Friday night before high school football games end.
Heavier rain Saturday
The rain will become steady and even heavy on Saturday. Widespread showers are expected in the morning and the afternoon, though we could get a little break in the late morning hours.
Winds are going to pick up, possibly gusting near 30 mph on Saturday.
The rain will become much more spotty or scattered on Sunday as the low pressure system moves out of the region. This is becoming a bit more promising for the Freep Marathon.
Elsewhere ...
Nationally, severe thunderstorms are possible in Florida and the central Plains. A strong storm system will produce areas of high elevation snow in the Rockies.
