4Warn Weather – Waking up to a warmup! Our Tuesday begins substantially warmer than Monday to kick off a stretch of milder weather this week.
Grab the sunglasses as you head out! We’ll have plenty of sunshine today.
Temperatures will soar into the 70s today, and will be paired with a southwesterly breeze. The day is expected to remain dry.
Tonight’s sunset is at 6:38 p.m.
Clouds will build Tuesday night, and rain chances will return.
Rain, staying warm
We’ll see scattered showers through the Wednesday afternoon before they diminish in the evening. The clouds and rain will keep high temperatures only in the 60s.
However, another surge of warmth will return to round out the work week.
Thursday and Friday will both be cloudy with rain chances. Highs will be in the 70s both days.
We will likely be a few degrees shy of the record high on Friday, but we’ll get close. The current high temperature record stands at 78 degrees set back in 1927.
Cooler weekend
Much cooler air will return this weekend.
Temperatures will fall back into the 50s. Rain will stick around, too, with a better chance of widespread rain on Sunday.
Next week, temperatures will remain below average. As of right now, Halloween looks to be dry for trick-or-treating, but a wintry mix could roll in Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Fingers crossed that the timing of that doesn’t get bumped up over the next week.
Elsewhere ...
Nationally, a cold weather system will bring snow to the northern Rockies and northern High Plains on Tuesday. Winter Storm watches and warnings have been issued and will go into effect for these areas. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible across the southern Plains and upper Midwest region through Wednesday.
