4Warn Weather – Heavy wet snow is falling at a rate of an inch an hour in parts of Metro Detroit, putting down as much as 4″ of accumulation in some spots.

Road conditions continue to deteriorate until about 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. when the snow changes to rain.

Our period of rain is now shrinking, which means we have bumped up snow totals. Rain will fall from 9 p.m. until 12 a.m. before changing over to all snow again on Saturday.

Saturday

Snow squalls with zero visibility sustained winds as high as 35mph and gusts up to 50mph will cause hazardous conditions and the possibility of widespread power outages for Saturday. Falling temps and arctic air then settle in for several days.

Join me tonight at 11 p.m.
