4Warn Weather – If your head is still pounding from a frustrating morning commute on Thursday, Friday isn’t looking much better. (Hang on, there is a bright spot in the Future Forecast).
A Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect Thursday at 10 p.m. for Washtenaw, Wayne, and Monroe counties. Sanilac and St. Clair are added to the advisory starting at midnight.
Snow arrives between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. and continues into the morning commute. Lows drop to around 18 degrees, which means salt will work, just not as well as when it is warmer.
Friday
Friday, the snow continues until 1 p.m. in Metro Detroit and 4 p.m. up in the thumb; 1-3″ snow totals can be expected by Friday evening. Highs Friday around 23 degrees.
Saturday
Saturday morning, we are back to dangerous wind chills at -15 to -18 degrees below zero.
What’s ahead for the next three months? I have the outlook tonight at 11 p.m.
